Dr. Rebecca Shumaker
Dr. Rebecca Shumaker graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. in Animal Science and a DVM at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University.
To further her veterinary education, she went on to complete an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at South Shore Animal Hospital in Weymouth, MA.
Dr. Shumaker practiced for 18 years in Boston, Manhattan, Westchester County, and Greenwich, CT before deciding that she wanted to create a more personalized experience for her clients. She is currently a member of the AVMA, CVMA, and the Tufts Veterinary Alumni Association.
Dr. Shumaker lives with her husband, her two children, and their golden retriever in Greenwich, CT.
What We Do.
Wellness Visits
Puppy & kitten care, yearly health exams, vaccinations, senior wellness exams, diagnostic testing, nutritional consults, preventative medicine, & microchipping.
Sick Visits
When your pet gets sick, you trust us to take care of them.
Primary Case Management
Consults and referrals to specialists where appropriate.
Chronic Disease Management
i.e. diabetes, arthritis, hormonal imbalances, allergies, kidney or liver failure, and heart disease.
Diagnostics and Treatments
Comprehensive blood & urine testing, fecal testing, ear & skin testing, and blood pressure monitoring. Medication will usually be dispensed at time of visit & medication can be delivered to your home.
End of Life Care
Quality of life consultations, pain management, in-home euthanasia, & cremation services.
Decrease Stress.
We come to you! We are a veterinary clinic on wheels. When your pet's needs require it, we’ll come right to the door.

As a mobile practice, we are on the road throughout the day caring for our patients.
When we are with a patient, we give our undivided attention to that patient and thus won’t be immediately reachable by phone.

Appointments
Please fill out the new client registration form and practice policies prior to the appointment.
To provide continuity of care, please forward any of your pet’s previous medical records prior to the first visit. This includes proof of rabies vaccination.
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide us with 24 hours’ notice so the appointment time can be used for another patient. Cancellations within 24 hours or an inability to gain access to the patient may be subject to a $75 fee.
